Mark your calendars

The Yankees released their 2007 regular-season schedule on Friday. Some of the highlights:

The 105th home opener at Yankee Stadium will take place on Monday, April 2 at 1:05 p.m., kicking off an 81-game home schedule which will feature nine games against each of the team's American League East foes, including the rival Red Sox.

The Yankees will host Interleague series against the Mets (June 15-17), Diamondbacks (June 12-14) and Pirates (June 8-10) -- all former World Series opponents. The Bombers will visit the Giants (June 22-24), Rockies (June 19-21) and Mets (May 18-20) as part of Interleague Play.

New York and Boston meet for the first of 19 times on April 20 at Fenway Park, opening a three-game series. The Red Sox visit the Bronx a week later, as the two rivals play three games at Yankee Stadium from April 27-29. The two teams meet again six times in May, three times in August and three times in September.

Joe Torre's team will get its first look at Gary Sheffield and the defending AL champion Tigers on August 16, the first of four games at Yankee Stadium. A week later, the two teams renew acquaintances in Detroit for four games.

Mark! What day is the home opener!?!

April 2nd Kz.

Thanks - just found it on PeteAbe's blog! Yipee!!!!

Sorry ... I added the date for the home opener.

I think this is the first year the Yankees have opened at home since 2001.

Nope. They opened at home in 2005. RJ's 1st game as a Yankee.

http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/NYA/NYA200504030.shtml

Was out of power for 80 minutes. Tornado warning near my area.

Mark, thanks for the GREAT news about future Hall of Famer Miguel Cairo wanting to stay with the Yanks where he belongs!! :D Now we just need Cash to hurry up and sign him!

And thanks for the schedule information also. Gaaah I hate when they play a day game on Opening Day! Oh well, I'm excited anyway.. gonna be going a lot this year, squeezing in as many games as possible before the new Stadium opens!

Haven't been on in a few days how is everyone? Well I hope -- how bout this freaky December warmth? It must have been 70 this afternoon...

E-gads, I hope that bad rain isn't coming my way next. Stay dry Mike!

Oh right Mike...thanks for the reminder....but before that it was 01.

That's ok, Alex. We are all trying to forget Tony Womack...LOL

I'm still in rehab for that...

Mark,

All you did was copy the article about the schedule onto your blog. Come on. Going to the Skins' game Sunday. Thanks again. Should be fun.

More rat poison, please.

Check out Pete's column for news on Villone.

...not to mention Mark's column on the home page, yankees.com

How do you guys feel about Villone?

Just a gut feeling about Villone, and I don't like it, but I'm afraid last year was his best. I have visions of Quantrill....

I had an interesting thought about Igawa and Matsuzaka. I wonder how much effect the signing of one will have on the other in terms of contract size. If we can sign Igawa quickly and not low-ball him, will it drive the price up on Matsuzaka for the Sox? I wouldn't be surprised to see Boras hold out as long as possible to try to see what Igawa goes for.

This could require several cans of Baygon®.

I would like to apologize to the rest of you for this continuous annoyance. I obviously can't be here 24 hours a day, but when I see the useless comments from this sad, lonely man, I will promptly dispose of them.

Thanks for your continued support.

Thank you Mark.

2 months, 13 days until Pitchers and Catchers.

Thanks, Mark - we appreciate it. And in the meantime, I think the best approach is to ignore the disgusting words posted here and continue our regular friendly banter!

Thank you for all your time doing work you should not have to, Mark.

Glad to finally see the complete schedule...Time to mark my calendar for April 9, 10, 11, the days the Yankees come and visit the Twinkies. Unfortunately I think they are weeknights (all 7:10 CT starts) so I will likely only be able to go to one.

It's title game Saturday in college football, though 2 out of the three games will simply decide which mediocre ACC and Big 12 teams go to the BCS. The SEC title game is the game of the day, with the winner going to the BCS (Fla. can go to the National Championship w. a win and a USC loss) and the loser exiled to the Capital One Bowl. Also, USC-UCLA and Army-Navy, both fun rivalries.

Looks like trade,FA discussions are heating up; should be a fun few weeks.

Thanks for cleaning, Mark. I hate to post on a soiled blog.

I cannot begin to understand the disease, other forms of illness, harmful abnormality, or dysfunction that would drive a person into such a frenzy of hatred for strangers.

Karl, those Yankee games in Minnesota begin the day after Easter (April 8) so it may coincide with school vacation.

Thanks, Mark.

Mark, just a question. Is it possible to show pictures of the Stadium's new site? It was just an empty lot in early October when I was up for Game 2, and it would be interesting to see how it looks now.

I am sure that if there are pictures available, that fans (especially those who can't get to NY) would love to follow the progress of the new Stadium, say, how the site looks in December, then April, August, next December...and so on. It might be interesting.

Just a thought.

Mike:
I've recieved your e-mail. And I've answered it. Hope you receive mine

I did, Jorge.

I just got a phone call from one of my brothers. He is a pretty good bowler, averaging about 190. I used to average only about 130-135.

Anyway, he got a perfect game last night. Congrats!

I prefer bowling with open field rules.

Oh yeah that allows tackling and pelting with objects.

(I know nothing about bowling except it is cool to wear shoes with big numbers on them that were worn by 4000 people before you.)

Mike, I have seen some progress pictures of the new Yankee Stadium but I cannot find the link, so I am not sure if I saved it.

I was sure I saved it but I apparently created a new hiding place for it.

It was not much to look at, mostly rubble and a construction site and the Bronx residents were complaining about dust.

Mike I found this site with some photos after some googling.

http://www.webshots.com/search?query=New+Yankee+Stadium+construction

There's something in Pete's blog about a right handed 1B named Julio Zuleta who is playing in Japan. He seems to hit pretty well against Matsuzaka. But he is 31 years old and his numbers are not outstandings. I still prefer the option I commented about a week ago. I'm talking about Luis Alfonso García.

Here are some pictures from August 28, 2006, from the Bronx Council for Environmental Quality.

http://www.bceq.net/new_yankee_stadium_construction_site_august_28_2006

Paul, please read the e-mail I just sent you and encourage your fellow Yankees.com regulars to follow our comments and post their own complaint.

I forgot about him, Jorge. he looked really good last year in spring training, though I thought he was in the outfield.

Personally I would prefer sticking with Andy Phillips. Many people forget he was a rookie last year so I think he will get better with regular play. Extrapolating his play last year to a who season he was at about a 16 HR, 70 RBI guy, but I think he will improve. Short of getting Mark Teixeira I would be happy with Phillips.

That Zuleta guy is being flogged by the serial posters on Pete's and other blogs and now Pete pointed out even his agent has inflated his statistics.

But I have to say that Garcia did seem interesting and is worth another look.

OK, Jeff, thanks, I will look shortly.

Paul, just saw where our comments were deleted from the MLBlogosphere post. Seems like MLB.com is trying to sweep everything under the rug and ignore it.

I was up for Game 2. Ironically, those pictures are from the day I was up. Just was wondering how it is now.

Zuleta hit 109 HR in the last 3 years in Japan. He did have a cup of tea (so to speak) with the Cubs a few years back. You can check out baseballreference.com for that. I don't know about his D, but his numbers project to Craig Wilson numbers. .247 career average, strikeout to walk ratio not the best....

Whoever it is will hit 8th. The rest of the lineup is pretty much set.

I'm interested in that Fujikawa guy...sounds like he could be Matsuzaka-esque.

He's a teammate of Igawa.

Paul:
These were the comments about Luis Alfonso García. As you can see, I'm not alone in this. Good to see you are another one who thinks he deserves an opportunity. I'd like to hear Mark's comments about García.

Speaking about 1B. There is an interesting mexican player. Maybe some of you remember him. I'm referring to Luis Alfonso García. He plays both RF and 1B. Right handed batter. 6'4". 180 pounds. 28 years old (05/11/78).

He was invited to Tampa last Spring Training. I don't know the reason, but he didn't reported early. He just played 11 games with as few as 13 AB's. But hear this. 4 R, 5 H, 2 HR, 8 RBI, 1 SO, .846 SLG and .385 AVG. But at the end of Spring Training Yanks offered him to go to the Minors, and he preferred to return to México. We were so crowded at the OF with Matsui, Damon, Sheff, Bubba, Melky and Bernie. And with Giambi and AP at first. So, there was no place for him. Back in México he played for Monterrey (AAA). His stats? Again, very good ones. 64 G, 229 AB, 51 R, 81 H, 19 HR, 60 RBI, 30 SO, .646 SLG and .354 AVG. I really hope he'll receive an invitation again. I hope Joe and Donnie has not forgotten him. I think he is ready for the Majors. Right handed 1B. Not expensive at all. If you see this, Mark, remember Brian Cashman that Luis Alfonso is waiting for the invitation. At least, let's watch him in Tampa. No risk at all

Posted by: jtorresmesias@hotmail.com | November 18, 2006 12:46 PM

Now this blog serves as scout too. Good job.

Yeah Mark. If you see this, please get in somebody's ear. No harm looking into a nice young player.

Posted by: levelhead@bonsai.net | November 18, 2006 12:56 PM

Yeah I remember Luis A. Garcia from the WBC, Jorge. He was actually with the Yanks in spring training but he opened the season at Columbus and ended up being released I think...I was rooting for him though.

And did anyone else notice that the AAA team this year is gonna be good for a change? Haha no longer a bunch of people trying to keep their careers alive.

Posted by: btide21@aim.com | November 18, 2006 01:14 PM

I too was wondering what happened to Garcia. I remember being impressed with his stats in ST last year and was wondering who the **** he was. I'm with Jorge on this one. Get this guy back to Florida this Spring. At least give him a real shot to land the 1st base job.

Posted by: rob.bush@excite.com | November 18, 2006 01:49 PM

Thanks for that info, Jeff. That is sad news.

And I answered Alex that Luis Alfonso didn't go to Columbus. When he was released, he returned straight to México.

I posted another complaint at the site I mentioned in the e-mail I sent to all of you regulars. I encourage all of you to do so as well.

Mark Newman, you can continue to delete our civilized comments on your blog while you allow the filth of fagan to continue unabated.

You, sir, are responsible for allowing the filth and hatred on these blogs.

You, sir, put children at risk from a stalker.

You, sir, MUST take more action than deleting the posts of those who complain about harassment which you seem to condone.

That post was also on Newman's blog which will be deleted in moments.

These blogs are no longer a safe place for children and teens when they must be subjected to the language and personal attacks that MLB.com allows.

Parents should not let children come to mlb.com nor any of their ancillary or afficliated websites.

Parents should ceasing buying merchandise from MLB.com.

Parents should cease to patronize sponsors and advertisers of Major League Baseball until such time as MLB assuers that it can provide a place safe from harassment and stalkers.

I agree, Paul. It is a shame that MLB.com does not have measures in place that allow blog moderators to prevent comments from a certain IP address and/or screen name. After all, MLB is not a mom-and-pop business. It has the money and technology to give blog moderators the freedom to keep deviants like Fagan from transforming what is usually a pleasant forum for baseball fans into a platform for his anger and hatred. And it is normal for people to become so tired of this that they lash out at the source of the anger and hatred, as I have done at times.

The bottom line is - everyone of the Yankees and Sox blogs, and individual blogs like mine - get along fine. There may be some heated debates between Yankees and Sox fans, but it sticks to baseball and not personal attacks. When Fagan is here, his unprovoked defamatory remarks evoke angry responses. Even if we ignore him - as we have been doing on all three blogs - his comments still litter these spaces until Mark, Ian and I discover them and delete them.

It's time that something is done. I suggest that every regular write a complaint on Mark Newman's blog - and also contact MLB.com corporate. And every time he posts something defamatory - which is every day he appears - copy it, paste it and e-mail it to Mark Newman and MLB.com. We must continue to complain until MLB.com decided to take action and ban Fagan's IP address (and anyone else like him, of which there isn't right now).

I have no idea what's going on. I blame the offseason. Going Yankee-less for an extended period of time is putting everyone on edge.

Paul, Mike, Jeff, Ellen, and all, I agree with you about Fagan, and I agree that MLB should not delete the complaints abouts him/it. However, I'm not sure there is much they can do other than delete the foul comments after they're made. They can probably block the usual posting address which will just encourage it to log in under a new name. They might even be able to block it's usual server/IP address, but then it simply moves to a neutral server, wi-fi locale, or public library. Maybe I'm missing something, but I believe if I wanted to get around blocking attempts I could with ease and so can it.

The more we allow it to anger us, annoy us, get under our skin, the closer it comes to winning. No, we shouldn't have to read that filth, but giving it our attention is like giving oxygen to an ember. Unless there's technology that I don't know about that allows MLB to identify and block an individual based on actual identity, the best we can do is ignore it and have it deleted ASAP after it's posted.

Right, Jeff. Even here as Yankee fans we disagree strongly on some points but we still respect each other as people and actually enjoy spending blog time with each other and with our leader, Mark.

This should all be FUN. The harassment is clearly intended to end the fun. He has so much as stated that. But MLB is compliant.

Agreed, Andy, and we have been good about not responding to it. But last night was the proverbial straw.

MLB has countless resources in what has been a record year for them.

They have the legal and technological means to pursue this if they wish to. Instead they allow one person, using that term lightly, to attempt to ruin the experience of many.

And worse many who do not blog here read this stuff and are subjected to it far too much.

It is my guess that this is by far the largest and most active blog on the MLB system.

We cannot allow this to grind us to a halt.

Agreed, Paul, but again, what technology is there to identify an individual before the posting goes up? I guess they could have a full-time live censor in place, but that would severely delay our posts, and when we're all blogging in-game, that would be extremely annoying. Again, they could block its IP address, but that's easy to get around. And blocking its log-in name just means it uses new unknown names, making it harder to immediately identify it.

Andy, there are technological and legal ways, but I think it would not be wise to address them here.

I think we made out point here. But I am not finished.

I did decide no one is getting MLB Christmas gifts from me. They are getting returned. Originally I thought NFL gear will replace it and in most cases that or and NHL thing will do.

I am not spending a dime on MLB at this point.

Paul, I posted this on the other site, too. I'm no legal expert, what do you think?

"I suppose adding a terms of use agreement when creating an account would give some legal recourse. Then they could hunt him down and sue him to death. If so, maybe you can suggest that to MLB."

Well, it made another name for itself.

Back to important matters. Paul, I'm beginning to move your direction about Andy Phillips. Unless we can get Teixeira, I'd just as soon give him a chance to play full-time. Our line-up is strong enough to have that luxury. If he doesn't make it, then make a move before the trade deadline.

Wow, baseball!

Base-a-ball been berry berry good to me.

Gedwards, either you are another screen name for Fagan (which I think is the case), or you have not been clearly reading our comments. This poster we are eluding to has consistently over the last several months littered several blogs with racist, defamatory and hurtful remarks. He is THE ONLY person (who presents himself with numerous screen names) who causes any tension on the Yankees, Sox and BoSox Banter blogs. It's not venomous to stand up for all of us who have consistently been targets on this thing's anger and hatred. When he is here, there is tension. When he goes away, all of the blogs have a normal tone - with baseball fans enjoying forums to talk and debte about baseball, and nothing more. So don't make a post unless you know the full story.

OK. I'm done talking about this for the time being. MLB.com is receiving multiple complaints. It's up to them to take action, and it is up to us to try to ignore and not respond to it since his comments will be deleted.

I think that is a strong option, Andy.

Yet I am still hoping that they can find a new home for Jason Giambi which would give them a lot more flexibility in the DH position with maybe bringing in Bernie against left handers and Matsui against right handers. That would allow Melky to be in the field when Matsui DHs.

I also liked the guy Jorge mentioned earlier, Garcia. He is certainly worth another look.

But as for Andy P, I think saying here is the job; it is yours to keep will give him a lot more confidence than the way it was handled last year.

Did I miss something?

Be nice, you're making me sad :(

Hi everyone, just weighed in on Mark Newman's blog in favor of exterminating the troll for good--I really hope mlb.com listens. This irritant had passed ridiculous awhile ago and is now into downright insane.

In the meantime tho I agree that the best thing to do is continue to ignore the troll posts until they hopefully go away. I know it has gotten out of control but we still shouldn't give it the satisfaction of ruining our time on here.

Oh, and Andy--nice shoutout you got there on the other Mark's blog--love the limerick! :D

Hiya, Gina, good points.

And to bring back the fun aspect....

In case you may not have seen this yet, and I had not until today, there are countless versions of this on You Tube, but here is one of them.

A baby panda sneezing:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dtLzvOsQ80k&eurl=

Like anyone believes you, Fagan. Anyone knows that you do not have the capability to trace an e-mail account, which is confidential information. My account is a Roadrunner one anyway. However, I see that you have a new screen name, gedwards. And your comments will be deleted soon enough.

Look, a panda sneezing...

More comedy...

The other day I made a reference to "Who's on First" in class.

Sadly, not one of my students knew anything about it. Kids these days.

Thanks for that Paul...I hadn't heard that in a long time.

Going to another sport....there is 75 seconds left, and # 2 USC is getting beat.

The BCS could really be thrown into chaos.

USC LOL, Mark, you crying yet? Don't worry, they would have gotten beat by at least 20 by Ohio State. USC lost to UCLA, LOL........one of the biggest upsets ever. Please USC, SIT DOWN........They shouldn't even play the title game. Ohio State will win by two touchdowns. O H I O...O H I O......OHIO!!!...USC How was USC #2 to begin with? Go Buckeyes!!!

If Florida wins and USC loses, which it looks like they will, then it should be Florida vs. Ohio St. If both Florida and USC lose, Michigan will definitely get their rematch. Although I wouldn't be opposed to seeing BSU get a shot.

Two words, Russ: rivalry game.

I will pitch in and buy Mark a beer or two or three....his teams aren't doing very good this year...Giants, USC, Washington....but Mark, you can cheer for Dallas tomorrow (: LOL

Two words...USC STUNK tonight and lost twice this year...over rated....Rob, doesn't matter who plays Ohio State....seriously, they are the best college team by far

I honestly think it will be a boring national title game. Can you imagine Floria vs Ohio State? What an upset!!! Booty got his Booty kicked!

UCLA wins!!!! Look at Pete Carroll LOL....

When rivals play, the rankings go out the window, Russ. From what I've seen and heard, UCLA put together a great defensive performance today. This is why they play the games: the best team on paper doesn't always win. Yeah, maybe Ohio St. is the best team. That doesn't mean that they are unbeatable, though. No team is.

I'm a lifelong Ohio State fan, being from Ohio. Though I don't care for them, I think Michigan deserves to play in the national championship game. They are clearly better than Florida, which is overranked. Hopefully, Arkansas beats Florida so there is no debate.

I don't think anyone will beat Ohio State. Yes UCLA did today, but that was more than a "rivarly" game. Was an unranked team against #2 in the country. Obviously Carroll didn't prepare his team well enough for today's game and took UCLA too lightly. But I do have to agree with you, Dallas beat Indy LOL

Me to Jeff. I think Ohio State won't be beat. Florida, Michigan, Arkansas, USC, whoever, Jim Tressel will have his team ready

BYEBYE USC!!!!!! come on florida, croak so michigan can handle osu!

rob after seeing rutgers expose themselves along with other soft scheduled teams, how can u want boise state, who has played nobody, be in the national championship just because they are undefeated?

Me, I'm watching Hawaii Winter League baseball right now.

What, you want Michigan to lose twice to Ohio State Vince? LOL....you glutton for punishment LOL

Yes Jeff, in my heart I know michigan deserves to rematch osu, but I also know they will pick florida to avoid a rematch....Have to hope florida, who barely escaped florida state last week, will lose with one final blow.

Lol, russ michigan lost to an undefeated team rival in their home by 3 pts, put them on even ground and it is anybodies game.

Vince, I don't think BSU deserves to be there, BUT, there are only two Division 1A teams that are undefeated right now. Why shouldn't they play for all the marbles?

Besides, being from the area, I'd love to see BSU get a shot, get their ***** handed to them, and perhaps shut them up for a while since it will be clear they're not as good as they think they are.

OSU will become the USC of last year of they get michigan again. Except hart will be the hero, not their Henne.

Wow. What an upset. A bro-in-law is a UCLA grad. Just called him.

What's going on with the NY Giants? I read where they signed Sean Landeta, who is 44. Perhaps they should bring in Steve DeBerg to backup Manning!

OSU will beat Michigan, 44-31, if there is a rematch. I think OSU would beat Florida by three touchdowns. Florida is not one of the top five teams in the country.

Wake Forest won, and Rutgers is leading. If Rutgers wins, the Orange Bowl could be

Rutgers vs. Wake Forest.

Who'd have thought that in July?

I'm sure that will be a real ratings generator, won't it Mike (lol). It is nice to see new teams excel. Rutgers and Wake Forest in a major bowl game is like Milwaukee and Tampa Bay in the World Series.

Vince, I think OSU really won that game by 10. OSU was playing the crappy prevent defense at end of game, only reason Michigan scored late in the game. Should have been 42-32. I think OSU will win by at least 10-14 if they play again. But we need Cowboy karma for tomorrow. I don't think Dallas will win, but would be nice. I think all this Giant **** all week is all hype. They killed Dallas the first time around

Russ I can make the same argument that without a personal foul call michigan should have won that game. Nobody told OSU to play a ****** prevent defense, michigan dominated that 2nd half.

I want rutgers to win so I have some purpose to be at the orange bowl.

Everybody said OSU would win by 14 at least the first time vs michigan and it was three. Why, not even at home, would osu win by 2 tds this time?

USC just didnt show up today. Very pathetic performance.

I've been saying for weeks that Ohio State would have killed them, but I wanted to see them get there anyway. This was supposed to be a rebuilding year for USC after they lost Leinart, Bush and White, but today was disappointing. They're still going to the Rose Bowl, which is always cool.

Ohio State will beat anyone they play. Michigan is the only one that will have a prayer.

Russ, I must say that your enjoyment of watching other people's team lose is sorta sad. I'd understand it if it was your team's rival, but in this situation, you come off as pathetic as USC looked today.

Kevin Millar re-sign with Orioles. It's a one year deal, $2.75 millions. So, we have to forget about Millar.
Let's see if Brian give us a surprise from Orlando. I'm guessing, Paul. While in Orlando, do you think Brian could have a meeting with Spiderman? He can find him in the Universal Studio's Complex

Today is goin to be a ROMO DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

goin = going. Sorry

Thank goodness. I never thought Kevin Millar was the answer for the yankees.

Hi, my dear Angel. How is the weather up there?

Ah Mark....and your enjoyment of watching or rooting for Dallas to lose all the time every week isn't sad? Come on, you can't have it both ways my friend......

Russ: ready to watch another GREAT game by Tony Romo?

Or calling Cowboys "Cowgirls" every week? Come on Mark....fair is fair......

Yes JTorre...Although, all the Giants won't be injured today, they will all play, all this Giant hype this week was BS, and they have beaten up Dallas past few times. Should be a good game.

Yeah. I know it won't be easy at all, but we're in a very good moment now, not the Giants. I hope a great exhibition of opur team, and another win by the hand of Tony Romo

Vince, that was celarly a personal foul. Watch the replay again and again and again. There was no question it was. OSU will dominate Michigan again and will kill Florida, bring them on

I hope JTorre..if Dallas wins today, they should win division....

You are truly amazing.

People might not be so vocal about their hatred of the Cowgirls if you weren't such a shining example of what an obnoxious Cowgirls fan is

Your USC comments show that for you, its not about rivalry, its all about having something to give Mark **** about each week regardless of the team. It looks personal and petty.

Yep, that IS pathetic.

Amazingly, you're as obnoxious of a Yankee fan as you are of any other team you root for/against.

And yet somehow you had the nerve to call others poor sports.

Take a look in the mirror.

Apparently I've missed many unpleasant comments by somebody, which makes reading the blog very confusing. Not that I mind. Thank you for your diligence, Mark. I will post a complaint on the Neuman blog after this.

I also remembered García from Spring Training and was surprised he was not given more of a chance. I would have no problem at all with allowing him and Andy P to battle for the job next spring. I have yet to see an interesting free agent 1B.

You're right Paul! April 9-11 is Spring Break here! Now I know what I'm doing those days!!! Thank you! Wonder how many I can go to, and if there is anyone else on here who may go to one of those games.

The Packers get the Jets today in what could be a very good game. With the Lions and Vikings after this, a .500 season isn't out of the question, and that might be the incentive Favre needs to come back for another year or two. Aaron Rodgers just is not the answer.

If I'm right on the BCS:

Ntl. Championship

Ohio State vs. Florida

Rose Bowl

Michigan vs. USC

Fiesta Bowl

Oklahoma vs. Boise State

Orange Bowl

Wake Forest vs. Louisville

Sugar Bowl

LSU vs. Notre Dame

Thanks for pointing that out to Mark, NY Angel. Mark is the one w/the snide comments about "Cowgirls" and "rooting against them" all the time and obnoxious fans. But once the foot is on the other shoe, one is the bad guy. I am sure if the Cowboys lose today, Mark w/have some snide comments, just like when they lost to the Skins. Let's play fair around here Angel. Mark was saying how great USC was. All I said was they are over rated and would never beat Ohio State. Another nice comment, "hatred of the Cowgirls"...you sound like Mark now Angel.....

OK, they have closed the comment section on the Newman blog. That REALLY makes it seem like they are just trying to pretend this isn't happening. We definitely do not deserve to be shut out like that.

What is this Newman blog?

I have no idea. I'm not completely sure I know what's going on. All I know is that I sure miss the Yankees. Hopefully there will be some interesting Hot Stove news soon, because the Winter Meetings have been quite dull.

Dave Roberts signing with the Giants...I'm sure Mark is happy that the average age of Giants outfielders is finally below 40.

Stop playing victim, Sam.

Its getting old.

You know why I can't stand the Cowgirls? It has less to do with the actual team (although that helps) and more to do with fans like you.

Its okay for you to insult the Red Sox and call them names because you hate them, but you get so defensive if someone does that to the Cowgirls.

Pot, meet kettle.

Stop talking your nonsense Angel, it is getting old...go do your homework for the weekend...

Most people hate the Cowboys, just like most people hate the Yankees.

You'd think being a fan of both teams you'd have developed a thicker skin by now.

I am defensive. I am just pointing out when "God" Mark makes fun of a team, he can do no wrong, when I say something about Mark's team, you nor him can take it.....

Is that really the best you can do? Do my homework?

You're right, I should stop. Its no fun getting under the skin of someone so clearly unarmed.

Define "most" Angel...who is your team by the way?
